Which building will replace Burj Khalifa as world’s tallest?. It was fourteen years ago that the Burj Khalifa in Dubai received the title of the world’s tallest skyscraper with an elevation of 828 meters, but it appears as if the building will no longer hold that title with the same height.

During the year 2010, the Burj was inaugurated for the first time, following the start of construction in 2004.

There was an intention that the structure would become the focal point of a large, multifaceted complex that would be situated in the heart of Dubai. Essentially, the purpose of this project was to ensure that oil-based economies were phased out over the next few years in favor of a business-oriented, travel-oriented, and luxury-centered economy.

There are rumours of a new skyscraper that may top the Burj Khalifa in the very near future, so it may no longer be the highest skyscraper in the world.

A Saudi Arabian construction project is expected to have a height exceeding the Burj Khalifa after it is completed, according to Guinness World Records (GWR), when it is completed.

Jeddah Tower

According to reports, the Jeddah Tower, also called Kingdom Tower, will rise to a height of over 1,000 metres (1 km; 3,281 feet), which is a height of more than 1,000 metres.

Jeddah Economic Company Building, located at the southern end of the city, will encompass condominiums, serviced apartments, offices, and residential properties.

It is also said that it is home to the “world’s highest observatory” whereas the University of Tokyo Atacama Observatory, located at 5,640 meters above sea level, is the only one we know of currently of this kind, whereas the University of Tokyo Atacama Observatory is located at 4,840 metres above sea level.

According to a report by GWR, the Burj Khalifa might lose out to Jeddah Tower, which is estimated to cost $1.23 billion.

A $20 billion mega-project that will form the centerpiece of Jeddah’s north side has halted for a period of five years, but will restart in 2023. It is yet unknown when exactly the Burj Khalifa will be completed, but its scale and facilities are likely to pose a threat to the Burj’s record-breaking status.
