On Saturday, July 20, Coldplay performed in Düsseldorf, Germany, just a few minutes after Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour concluded in Gelsenkirchen.
Coldplay dedicated their song Everglow to Swift, as Swift’s departure was still fresh and her absence felt deeply.
During the concert, Martin announced, “Now this is for Taylor Swift since she left town,” according to a TikTok fan-made video.
Taylor had to go to the next city today, and I want to send this to all of you who are grieving because of her departure. During the band’s performance of the song, Martin declared, “We are sending this love song to Taylor wherever she is today.”
