KARACHI: Stargazers to see last solar eclipse of 2023 on October 14. As the year draws to an end, the stargazers will have their last chance this year to see a solar eclipse, when a breathtaking sight of the phenomenon known as the “Ring of Fire” will be viewed on Saturday, October 14.

As the year 2023 comes to an end, we will see the second and last solar eclipse of the year.

So, As the Moon reaches or nears its farthest point from the Earth, a solar eclipse is regarded as a ring of fire, which occurs when the moon is at or near its farthest point from the Earth. This is referred to as an annular solar eclipse.

Since the Moon is farther away than it would be during a total solar eclipse, it appears smaller than it would during a partial solar eclipse, so it does not block out the entire Sun when it passes in front of our star.

As a result, a bright ring of sunlight is visible at the peak of the eclipse, creating the effect of the ring of fire that is created by the Moon.

The unfortunate thing for Pakistanis is that they will not be able to witness this event.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), in a statement, the eclipse will be visible in southwestern Mexico, a number of countries in Central America, central Colombia, and northern Brazil during this year’s eclipse.

According to the Department of Energy, the eclipse will begin on October 14 at 8:04pm (PST); it will reach its peak at 10:59pm; and the eclipse will conclude at 1:55am on October 15 at the end of the day.
