There were rumours in the media recently that Selena Gomez intended to sell her cosmetics brand Rare Beauty but the singer denied the reports.
The actress who played Donna in Only Murders in the Building tells Time that she has no plans to take part in that project, sincerity be damned.
She explained that for the next few years she will work on various products that she will be releasing to the market.
There has been a lot of discussion regarding Selena’s decision to focus on how to use her platform to help people rather than worrying about the business aspect of running Rare Beauty, which has been listed as one of Time100’s Most Influential Companies.
There is something strange about me that causes me to think that if I focus on the numbers, I will lose the very essence of what made Rare Beauty Rare Beauty,” said the singer and actress.
The singer told the outlet, “I didn’t want my career to be just about making a lot of money and then leaving it at that.”
The Rare Impact Fund, which is the company’s non-profit fund that has already raised $13 million of the $100 million that the brand hopes to raise within the first 10 years of its existence, reported Time.
There is no end to the possibilities when it comes to the products, stated the singer and actress in a video for Time100, saying, “I think the possibilities are endless.”.
Selena explained that she had no fear of anything. This is just my way of doing things since I’m not sure if I would want to push every idea out as soon as I think about it.”
The owner of the company added, “I sit with my products, I go through the testing phase… I just live with it for a while.”
Timenews1 published that news.
