The stars of Practical Magic 2, Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock, have finally made their way back to the film stage to reprise their roles.
The actress confirmed the reports that she was returning to the sequel as Gillian Owens, while Bullock, 59, is returning as Sally Owens, in a People Magazine interview on Thursday, June 13.
The Expats star summed up the swirling news by saying, “Yes, I will be in it. It’s going to be at least an episode. That’s all I have to say,” before adding, “There’s a lot more to tell which way we’re going to go from here.”
In response to her teaser, she said, “Okay, now that I will be able to do this, I find it kind of interesting.”.”
In her own words, the Big Little Lies actress added, “We found a way into the house.”.
A sequel to the 1998 film chronicling the story of sister witches (and starring the two actresses who played them in the original film) was announced by Warner Bros. this week, and both actresses have been in talks to play the roles previously played by them.
In the meantime, Akiva Goldsman, the screenplay writer for A Beautiful Mind, was hired to write the script for the squeal, a movie which was based on a 1995 novel by Alice Hoffman.
Additionally, Kidman confirmed that she would be starring in a movie titled ‘A Family Affair,’ along with Zac Efron and Joey King, ahead of the premiere of her upcoming Netflix film.
