PESHAWAR: Peshawar court sentences child rapist, killer to death thrice. In the capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Peshawar, a court sentenced a man to death thrice on Thursday after he was found guilty of raping, killing, and then burning an eight-year-old girl. He was convicted of raping, killing, and burning her body.

There was a judgment issued by the Child Protection Court Judge Hina Mehwish and she also ordered the convict, Asif Raza alias Malangay, to pay a fine of Rs1 million to the court.

It was discovered on November 19, 2020 – a day after she went missing – that a body had been found in the Balukhel Bala area, falling within the boundaries of the Badbher police station. In response, the minor girl’s family and residents of the area staged a protest in order to draw attention to the issue.

As soon as top officials were made aware of the horrendous act, a case was lodged. On December 11, 2020, the accused was arrested by the police.

The police had informed the court during the course of the proceedings that the accused had first raped the minor, and then he had murdered her. After that, he burned the body and buried it in a graveyard, where it remained until the next day.

In addition, the law enforcement officials informed the court that several cases had been registered against Raza at the Badabair Police Station in connection with the incident.

In the days preceding this incident, a four-year-old boy named Tahirullah was found dead in the fields within the boundaries of the Badaber Police Station with a cut across the abdomen.

In the Balokhel area of Badaber, five days after Aalya was killed, her body was set on fire in the Balokhel area. There was a feeling of fear that spread throughout Badaber and the rest of rural Peshawar as a result of these two incidents.
