PCB likely to relieve Fakhar Zaman after X post controversy

Having submitted Fakhar Zaman’s response to a show-cause notice following his controversial post criticizing the selection committee, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has “easened its stance” against him, according to sources.

Despite Fakhar’s clarification of his position in reply to the PCB’s show-cause notice, the opening batter is expected to end his difficulties soon, the sources said.

It was revealed that Fakhar’s issue will be handled by the top cricketing body in a few days.

Mohammad Rizwan, who has just been appointed as white-ball captain, has also offered his opinion on Fakhar’s return to the national team.

He was not included in the 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI and T20I series against Australia and Zimbabwe between November 4 and December 5, which will consist of ODIs and T20Is.

During a press conference three days ago in Lahore, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi revealed the reasons for the decision.

The candidate also insisted he would not interfere in the selection process.

“The selection committee will decide who will be chosen or omitted.” When asked about Fakhar’s future, the PCB chief replied that he had never requested that a player be included or excluded, the committee was fully empowered, and he had full confidence in it.

His omission was due to his fitness, as well as his controversial post against the selection committee on X.

Pakistan lost an innings and 47 runs to England in their first Test match at the beginning of the series, according to Fakhar’s X post.

Although the Men in Green were without the star batter, pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Naseem Shah, they still won the series 2-1.

Timenews1 provided that news.
