New head coach for Milwaukee Bucks is Doc Rivers

The legendary head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks, Doc Rivers, has accepted a position as head coach of the team, effective immediately.

After stepping down as head coach of the Bucks earlier on Tuesday, Adrian Griffin, who had been with them since June 2023, was fired.

Griffin’s firing was a “difficult decision” to make during the course of the season, according to Bucks general manager Jon Horst in a public statement.

Following three consecutive losses in the Eastern Conference semifinals, Rivers parted ways with the Philadelphia 76ers last May after coaching the team for three seasons.

A Sixers statement at the time described Rivers as one of the most successful coaches in NBA history, as he was described as one of the career’s most successful coaches.

In addition to his previous experiences coaching the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Clippers and Boston Celtics, the 62-year-old basketball coach has also coached the Orlando Magic and led the Magic to the 2008 NBA championship.

He has experience playing against large-title individuals, and superstars. For so long, he has only been surviving off the one championship that he won, so I think if he had another championship he could really make a name for himself.” said Shaquille O’Neal on a show that night.

“It is important for me to open up my heart to become a champion,” Rivers said in an interview with CNN.

Taking a step out is not an easy thing to do. The problem is that you have to step out of your comfort zone, get out of your comfort zone, and give yourself to the team. If you can do that, then everything is going to work out for you.
