Law, justice buried to make way for Nawaz’s return: PTI. A broadside was fired by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Saturday afternoon against Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supreme leader Nawaz Sharif, claiming that the return of the “coward fugitive” to the country is a part of the London plan.
A spokesperson for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) said in a statement on Saturday the “state has buried shame, modesty, law and justice with its own hands” in order to clear the way for a “national criminal” to return from London.
Earlier today, the three-time former Pakistani prime minister returned to the country after returning from a four-year self-imposed exile in London and is looking forward to making a comeback in the upcoming general elections that are expected to be held in the last week of January next year.
In order to ensure a smooth return to the country, he obtained relief from the Islamabad High Court as well as an accountability court, averting the threat of immediate arrest upon landing at the airport.
As a former prime minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif served as prime minister three times, but was thrown out of office in 2017 after he was convicted of not declaring his receivable salary, which resulted in a lifetime ban from politics.
In response to the ouster of the Imran Khan-led government in April 2022, the PTI spokesperson said after the regime change conspiracy after ridiculing the Constitution and democracy, the state elements “tied the country and the nation in the chains of dictatorship and thrown it to corrupt wolves after ridiculing the Constitution and democracy.”
Further, the statement stated that Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PTI), was incarcerated 27 years ago for engaging in political struggle against the nexus between criminals and the government.
Under the leadership of Khan, the nation stood against robbers, mafias, and plunderers, preventing them from plundering the nation.
As the PTI spokesperson said, “the country is ready to ‘welcome’ the criminals who have been ‘adopted’ by the state,” adding that the people will hold accountable criminals who have robbed the country of its treasures from generation to generation.
As part of the statement, the statement also reiterated the demand that an immediate election that is transparent, free and fair should be held in order to steer the country out of crisis.
