‘I had the worst year of my life,’ she said during her Vegas farewell

As Adele concluded her record-breaking two-year residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace on Saturday night, she shared a heartfelt moment with her son Angelo and fiancé Rich Paul.

After canceling her shows just a day before the opening of her Las Vegas show, Covid-related delays and insufficient preparation time led the British singer to describe 2022 as the worst year of her life.

As a result, she began to question the future of her residency in Sin City after it was cancelled at the last minute.

Adele took a sip of wine before addressing her 5,000-seat audience, sharing, “I’m sad this residency is over, but I’m glad it happened.”

I had one of the worst years of my life starting off on such a rocky note. It was horrible to be knocked around like that. My last-minute cancellation was described as career suicide, and Vegas would never forgive me.”

A tearful Hello singer reflected on her tumultuous journey during Saturday’s final performance at Caesars Palace, where she’s been a residency resident for two years.

The singer told her audience that if her canceled show in 2022 had gone through, her 100th performance would never have taken place.

A raw emotion filled her words to the crowd: “If something does not feel right to you, do not do it.”.

“Trust your gut instinct” she said, expressing enormous pride in herself, her team, and her fans, saying, “I’m so proud of myself, and I’m so proud of our team.” Vegas gave me that second chance, and I’m grateful.”

She embraced her fiancé, Rich Paul, and son Angelo, whom she shares with ex-husband Simon Konecki, after her emotional speech.
