“Mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety, are the most common psychological problems. They can range from mild to severe and can have a significant impact on a person’s life. Mental health issues can make it difficult to work, socialize, and even take care of basic needs. It is important to recognize the signs of mental health issues and to seek professional help if needed. Early intervention is key to managing mental health issues and improving quality of life.”
As mental health issues are on the rise among the masses, especially among the youth, Pakistani Senator Irfan Siddique said on Saturday that calligraphy has deep links with Islamic art and could also play a significant role in resolving psychological problems.
On this occasion, the renowned calligrapher Wasil Shahid was exhibiting his artwork at a calligraphic exhibition that was inaugurated at the Chenab Club in Faisalabad, which was a part of an exhibition of artwork by the renowned calligrapher. It is said by Siddiqui that Islamic teachings, especially verses from the Holy Quran, are highlighted through calligraphy, which has a significant impact on the lives of human beings.
In the event that our calligraphers were patronized, then they would have the opportunity to promote a soft image of Pakistan on the global stage in addition to bringing laurels to the country through their unique artwork.” “In addition, Pakistan boasts of the existence of artwork created by its calligraphers in the Masjid-e-Nabvi and the Roza (mausoleum) of the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him),” he added.
Using Islamic calligraphy as a way to cure depression, stress, anger, and anxiety, he said the people were suffering from these conditions, but this could be remedied by promoting Islamic calligraphy.
As part of the celebration, he also inaugurated the calligraphy exhibition and showed appreciation for Shahid’s artwork.
