A musical bombshell was dropped by Olivia Rodrigo, who revealed an unknown track added to her Guts (Spilled) deluxe edition entitled So American as well as a new video for her song Obsessed, six months after its initial release, in a surprise announcement for her fans.

A music video for the song as well as the expanded digital version of the album were released on Friday morning, sparking excitement among Rodrigo’s loyal fan base, who have been awaiting the release for a long time.

There are five additional tracks included on the Deluxe edition of Guts (Spilled) that were not available on streaming platforms prior to the release of the deluxe edition.

Among these, there is one that really stands out, the newly recorded and never before released in any form, the song So American.

In Mitch Ryan’s music video for Obsessed, Rodrigo is seen navigating a gloomily filled hotel ballroom filled with competing pageant queens in the video, directed by Mitch Ryan.

In this song, Rodrigo is fixated on two former love interests of the fellow he is infatuated with when he sings about them.

As the pageant queens was attended by people from all over the world, sashes were being worn bearing inscriptions that included, “Miss Thought She Was the One,” “Miss 2 Summers Ago,” “Miss Mom’s Favorite,” and “Miss Still His ‘Closest Friend’.”

It is evident from the inclusion of “Obsessed” on Rodrigo’s upcoming tour tracklist that the song holds a special place in her heart.

This deluxe edition contains not only So American and Obsessed, but three additional bonus tracks from limited edition vinyl releases as well, namely Girl I’ve Always Been, Scared of My Guitar, and Stranger, all of which have been included on the deluxe edition.
