‘Fit’ Hasan Ali declared by Pakistan before Bangladesh match. Despite being unable to play in Pakistan’s upcoming World Cup 2023 match against Bangladesh on June 5, fast bowler Hasan Ali has been declared fit to train ahead of the team’s match against the Bangladeshi side.
Following a fever-induced withdrawal from the South Africa match due to the right-arm pacer, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is maintaining a close eye on him on a regular basis.
Ali’s participation in the match against Bangladesh will be subject to the approval of the medical panel of the Men in Green on Wednesday before the Men in Green begin their training session on Monday in Kolkata for the must-win match against Bangladesh on Tuesday.
Despite better results against relatively weak sides such as the Netherlands and Sri Lanka in the ongoing World Cup, Pakistan’s campaign for the tournament is in tatters, with the Men in Green’s performance at the tournament being rather shambolic. Pakistan have won only two matches and have lost two more.
Thereafter, Babar Azam’s team lost consecutively to India, Australia, Afghanistan, and South Africa, which was the first time that had ever happened in the history of this mega event that Babar Azam’s men had lost four matches in a row.
It has become increasingly difficult for the Green Shirts to qualify for the semi-final round of the event as their chances of achieving that have now become a matter of “ifs and buts.” The Green Shirts would still have to rely on the results of other teams to qualify, even if they won their remaining three matches — against Bangladesh, New Zealand, and England. However, this seems nearly impossible.
It is Pakistan’s last chance to qualify for the ICC World Cup 2023
A match against Bangladesh will be played in Kolkata on October 31
There will be a day match against New Zealand in Bengaluru on November 4
The match against England will be played in Kolkata on November 11th
