Billie Eilish belts out “What Was I Made For?” During SNL

During the latest episode of Saturday Night Live, Billie Eilish, 21, teamed up with Kate McKinnon to perform an original song. 

As part of the Grammy Awards ceremony, the Grammy winner performed her hit track from the Barbie film, What Was I Made For? For the first time, the performance will be live for the first time. 

The announcement of the performance was made by McKinnon in the presence of the film’s director Greta Gerwig. 

In a hilarious promo, before her Saturday Night Live performance, the pop sensation teased her appearance with cast members McKinnon and Ego Nwodim. 

Billie’s involvement in Oppenheimer was the topic of their next witty remark, which was shared in three humorous segments in which they playedfully discussed her involvement.

There was a huge emphasis on “roasted beef sandwiches” and tons of traditional Christmas traditions in the second and third segments.

The song is actually Eilish’s personal favorite from the soundtrack and she referred to it as such in her conversation with Jimmy Fallon on the Tonight Show.

The actress shared some details about the process of the song making, saying that Gerwig is such a “sweetheart” and that she requested that Billie write a song that would take the viewers to “elsewhere.”.

According to the singer, the song made such an impression on her that she kept playing it for the rest of her life. “That was a really memorable experience for us.”

In regards to the scene in the film, the Ocean Eyes star spoke about the moment that takes place when Barbie and Ruth are in a white area, the white abyss, and the former grabs her hands and she says, “FEEL,” according to the musician.
