After performing Umrah, former Pakistani captain and cricketer Babar Azam travelled to Madina on Thursday to pay homage and reverence to the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) by visiting the Prophet’s Mosque in order to express his gratitude and devotion to the Prophet.
A few days after concluding his latest participation in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 and completing his participation in the Pakistan Super League (PSL), the sports star traveled to Saudi Arabia for a lesser pilgrimage during the ongoing month of Ramadan.
On his Instagram account, Babar took the opportunity to inform his fans about his visit to Madina by posting a video in which he performs ablution in front of the Green Dome, which is a significant part of the Prophet’s Mosque, standing on top of the grave of the Prophet Muhammad, what makes it such an important part of the Mosque.
According to the caption of the post, the cricketer showed respect for the holy prophet by expressing himself in the following way:
A messenger of peace and blessings may be sent to the beloved prophet Muhammad, May peace and blessings be upon him – orphan of the world who adopted all of humanity.”
Many Muslims throughout the world often throng to Makkah and Madina during the holy month of Ramadan to make the most out of this blessed period by performing Umrah.
As part of the lesser pilgrimage, Babar also had the honor to stand before the Holy Kaaba in Makkah which he posted a picture of himself in front of the Kaaba in Makkah as he did the lesser pilgrimage.
It must also be mentioned that several cricketers, including Naseem Shah and Imamul Haq, are also performing the lesser pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia as part of their preparations.
His Instagram story has been flooded with pictures of Imam standing in front of the Holy Kaaba while wearing his pilgrimage clothing called an ehraam – which is typically worn by pilgrims during their pilgrimage.
