A few weeks after the release of The Tourist season two, Jamie Dornan has joined Netflix’s next venture, The Undertow, where he will play double roles.
Apparently, The Undertow had its premiere at the Next on Netflix event in London on Wednesday evening, according to Deadline.
It has been confirmed that Mackenzie Davis, who also played two identical twins named Adam and Lee in the film Fifty Shades of Grey, will star alongside the Fifty Shades of Grey star.
Netflix UK is set to release a new drama series in which the protagonists Nicola (Davis) and Adam (Thomason) confront each other in the midst of a loveless marriage before dramatic events bring Adam’s long-estranged identical twin brother Lee crashing back into their lives.
It follows their romantic past entangled with the present, which threatens to destroy the present of her character.
There will be a series based on the film Twin, from Nordisk Film Production AS, which is created by Kristoffer Metcalfe.
The Undertow, helmed by Complete Fiction and Wiip, is also scheduled to begin production in the Scottish Highlands later this year under the direction of Complete Fiction and Wiip.
Having appeared on the global video streaming platform for the third time, Dornan is now in his fourth series with them.
He has previously appeared in several spy thrillers, including Heart of Stone, in which he starred alongside Gal Gadot.
In addition to being switched from Max to Netflix in the U.S., his BBC drama The Tourist was recently re-released in the U.K.
