A look at Obi-Wan Kenobi’s future by Ewan McGregor, The legendary Obi-Wan Kenobi, played by Ewan McGregor, has spilled the beans on whether the actor plans on returning to the Star Wars universe as him.
It was reported in the Sunday, March 31, edition of Deadline that the actor expressed his interest in reprising his role in any future episodes of the Disney series if his contract was not renewed. The actor stated that he was excited about the possibility of returning to his role in the future.
It has recently been revealed that the Scottish actor admitted to lying to his fans to keep the specifics of his stand-alone series under wraps in a recent interview with LADbible. There was no mention of any future projects during this interview, however he did claim to know nothing about them.
There is truth to the claim that I have been talking about having to cover for doing the Obi-Wan season for years, and I have had to lie about it for years. However, I am now no longer lying about it.
The answer to this question is dubious as of now. There has been no phone call to me from Lucasfilm or Disney indicating that they would like to do another one, and that sends any expectations down the drain, according to him.
According to McGregor, “Obi-Wan is a limited series, and it has already been released, and people have been responding well to it, which I am very, very pleased with.”
In spite of the lack of updates regarding another season, the actor expressed his hopes and confidence despite the absence of further information regarding the possibility of doing another season.
Currently, he is occupied with promoting the most recent television series he has produced, A Gentleman in Moscow, which aired last spring.
